I liked MeFi back in the day, but really? What is wrong with that? 

the median household income is less than half that amount. 

geekdom and the geek industries and geek education have been historically dominated (and still are) by white dudes (maybe some asian dudes too, but not so many black or hispanic or other people of color, right?).  

I don’t know, I guess what’s wrong with that statements it is smacks of privilege. maybe I’m overreacting.
